I am fortunate enough to accompany Amy D. on some of her gigs, somewhere around that we find the time to talk about songs. When Amy first brought this song to me, it was mostly downbeat-based, and I decided to turn that on its head.

The first real band I was ever in, barely past 18 years old, was Jackie's project at the time The Jurassic. As she moved towards a solo career and developed her writing process, she would sometimes approach me with a melody and lyrics, and I would put chords to it, tweaking the arrangement where needed.
